ALL ABOUT ME
Me

Whoa, wait, you musta' clicked a wrong link or something. Nobody seriously reads these hokey "about me" pages, do they? Well hey, if you really want to give me five minutes of your life that you'll never get back, then who am I to judge. Now pay attention kids, 'cause some of this may be on the test.

As I'm sure you can tell (you know, from the big banner above, the website address and whatnot) my name is Kelly. I spent the formative years of my life in Brampton, Ontario. I was your average nerd. I was shy and quiet, I played clarinet in the band, took lots of art classes, made websites, loved theatre (especially musicals!!), had big thick glasses ...you know really things have not changed that much. Really, I've just gotten a whole lot older, and my geek rays can instead be felt in the city of Hamilton now, where I live with my awesome boyfriend Matt and our wonderful son Tristan (who is one, and FANTASTIC!).

Before moving to Hamilton, I was a young fresh-faced college student who studied fine arts. I graduated from Me Again! Georgian College in 2005 with an advanced diploma in fine arts. I liked school so much I decided to stick around Georgian for another year and get some credits towards my bachelors. After finally leaving college, and then a couple years of working soul-crushing real-world jobs, I decided it was time to finally finish my bachelors. I finally completed my bachelor of fine arts degree in 2009, through Thompson Rivers University.

A couple months later I gave birth to the most wonderful little boy in the world. No, that's not just mama talking big, I'm just stating the facts here guys. That little guy changed my life, and brought meaning back to it. Right now, I am trying to stay home with my son (for as long as I can at least), while also trying to get my art out into the world. I always believed that we don't have to work jobs that we hate, we just need to follow our dreams and aim high. I want my son to see that this is true, so that he can grow up and live his dreams.

Although I like to poke fun at myself (hey, if you can't laugh at yourself...), I am a firm believer in the powers of positive thinking. I tend to find joy in the little things. I live for the moment and all the little treasures that life has to offer.

And there you have it; my life in a few sadly short paragraphs. Don't you just feel so much more complete now that you know all this?
